Members of our group can provide support prior to as well as after treatment. Some men are unaware of the importance of evaluating the various treatment options that are available and selecting the option that is best for them.

You should consider all your options before committing to a particular course of action and talking to people who have been through treatment can be very informative.

Our members can suggest useful links and background reading that will help you to become more informed about treatment options.

Through personal contact with a member of our support group or through attendance at one of our meetings, you can:

• Chat with Group members who can provide one-on-one counsel and support in relation to particular issues.
• Discuss your needs, problems, anxieties, expectations and hopes with members of our Group who have had similar experiences.
• Talk to men who have experienced various diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Listen to informative presentations from medical experts and participate in discussions with them
• Access our informative, monthly newsletter, which also lists informative websites and resources related to prostate cancer and other prostate problems
• Arrange for an informative presentation on prostate cancer to your association, workgroup, or friendship group.
